‘America’s Got Talent’ (Season 14): Initial Thoughts So Far

Credit: AGT

The 14th season of “AGT” kicked off two weeks ago with new judges Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough and returning judges Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel and so far we’ve seen the talent level reach new heights. Here below are some of my favorites so far in no particular order.

Eric Chien blows minds with his card magic!

I was impressed with Chien’s sleight of hand magic. He could very well be this year’s Shin Lim. Magic is always fascinating when done with such precision and showmanship and Chien has that down to a tee. I can’t wait to see what he has in store next in the next round.

Light Balance Kids wows the crowd with their dance moves.

The famous Ukrainian dance group from season 12 and the Champions season have spawned a kids group dubbed Light Balance Kids! I applaud their efforts in getting the kids involved this season and the choreography and timing is pretty much flawless. Looking forward to seeing them advance further in the competition.

Kodi Lee performs for the judges.

Kodi wowed the crowd when he performed in his audition. To be blind and autistic and have that level of talent to sing that song and play the piano is worthy of a Golden Buzzer and that he earned as newcomer judge Gabrielle Union bestowed that honor on him. He advances already to the live rounds later this season.

Danger lies ahead! Do NOT try this at home! šŸ˜‰

You got to love a good danger act and this season we have this act! Watch and be astounded by their melon and coconut bashing skills. šŸ™‚

Golden buzzer recipient, Joseph Allen advances to the live rounds. Impressive audition with an original song with a powerful message!! He’s a perfect example of “hard work pays off!”
