AJR, the multi-platinum certified indie pop band, played NYC’s Radio City Music Hall last night and it was truly a visual masterpiece. The show was SOLD OUT and rightfully so everyone in the audience sang, danced, and screamed as the guys played songs off their most recent album, Neotheater.
The show kicked off with the opening song (number), “Next Up Forever.” And my oh my, was that a joyous moment to witness with the hypnotic lights casting down…
…which eventually flowed right into the ever so catchy “Birthday Party!” 🎉 🥳
After a brief introduction of the band members, the rest of the concert was hit after hit like “Weak,” “Sober Up” & “Burn The House Down” from their previous album The Click, and tracks off their latest release like “The Entertainment’s Here,” “Karma,” “Don’t Throw Out My Legos” and much much more!

It’s an amalgamation of a Broadway show, music festival & movie! 😍😍😍
Escape with 90 minutes of pure fun that will elevate your serotonin levels! (yes indeed, it put a smile on my face) 😄😄😄
Love the visuals, the blending of the props with the projections, the jokes on screen, the speeches in between the songs, JJ Kirkpatrick’s trumpet 🎺 playing of past and present iconic songs and Ryan’s tutorial on how “Don’t Throw Out My Legos” was made!
It’s a feel-good, can’t believe they really did that moment/performance! They truly deserve to play Radio City after all their years working up the ranks from busking in Washington Square Park to playing in venues like Webster Hall, Hammerstein Ballroom and Terminal 5 just to name a few. 💯
The acoustics inside Radio City was phenomenal, my ears were blessed!!! 🙏 😎
I definitely got my money’s worth seeing them perform live in person for the first time (i know i’m late to the fandom and i wished i knew them pre-The Click days.) I was simply captivated by every minute of it! 😭👏👏👏👏👏 😭

I truly wish you all whether you’re a diehard fan or a casual listener of theirs to see this tour in a city near you! You won’t regret it after you take your first step out of the concert venue and back into reality. Hands down one of the best if not the best concert experiences I’ve ever had.
