This week brings new songs from the likes of 5 Seconds of Summer, Adam Lambert & Carly Rae Jepsen just to name a few. Scroll down to read all about it and more!
What will you be listening to this weekend?

“No Shame” by 5 Seconds Of Summer
Aussie pop rockers 5SOS are back with a new single and upcoming album. “No Shame” is about peoples’ insatiable desire for attention in life. Everyone just wants to be noticed, be seen or be heard whether it’s in real life or on social media. #NoShame in that!
Overall, I like the progression of their sound as compared to their 2014 breakthrough hit song, “She Looks So Perfect,” and this new song’s melody is something I haven’t heard from other artists before. What about you? Let me know in the comments below.
The guys will be going on tour as part of their promotion of CALM, their fourth studio album due March 27th! Tickets and tour dates can be found here.

“Roses” by Adam Lambert feat. Nile Rodgers
American Idol alum and pop singer sensation, Adam Lambert is back and he’s brought a lot of funk and groove on this latest track. “Roses” is a very 80s, dance tune that’s sure to make you feel good after listening to it. It’s really catchy and I feel Adam could sing anything at this point and it will go viral! Kudos to his chameleon-like skills when it comes to making music for numerous genres.
Nile Rodgers’ slick guitar skills reminds me of his other collab with Daft Punk’s smash hit, “Get Lucky.”
With that said, this song is perfect since Valentine’s Day is approaching and couples and non-couples if you will, will enjoy this song. Download and stream the song here. His next album, Velvet releases March 20th!

“Let’s Be Friends” by Carly Rae Jepsen
Need a new breakup song? Then you’re in luck! Carly Rae Jepsen, best known for her hits “Call Me Maybe,” and “Run Away With Me,” is back with this unapologetic track for those who have been scorned. The accompanying music video is cute. I must say, this video was nicely done with the pop-up story book feel and whimsical animation.
The lyrics are really clever because she wants to be “friends” with an ex but then never speak to them again. It’s an amusing song for those who want to be cheeky towards their recent ex. Give it a listen because this is another appropriately timed song given Valentine’s Day is approaching and it’s not always sunshine and daisies on that holiday!

“Everything Sounds Like A Love Song” by X Ambassadors
Heartbreak really takes you to a new state of mind. This song is for those who loved someone dearly but they broke up with you and now everything you do or see in this post-breakup life, it reminds you of your ex. This big band style ballad is really heartfelt and soulful and is worthy of a listen.
I admire the hard work X Ambassadors have put into their soaring career and craft thus far. They’ve been putting out new songs every year since their mainstream debut back in 2015. Visit their official website for more info and tickets for their current Orion tour.
