Katy Perry got an early jump on this week’s New Music Friday as she released this song last night at midnight! Fans were surprised and pleased with the revealing news! 2020 is going to be a huge year for the hit maker.

In the above video, she reveals she’s pregnant with her first child with actor and fiancé Orlando Bloom!! She alludes to never wearing white which is symbolic because she will eventually later this year when she weds Bloom, and for the fans a.k.a. the Katycats, KP5 is confirmed with more material to be dropped later this year as she excitedly revealed on her recent Instagram Live on Thursday, March 5th.

Overall, this new single is a beautiful heartfelt ballad. She dons a big bright floral headdress accompanying hundreds if not thousands of colorful flowers flowing from her dress and onto a covered rock as she belts the song confidently. In addition she wears a flowing white dress looking proud and angelic as she caresses her belly later on indicating her first very own baby bump. It’s a scary but bright new chapter in Perry’s life and career as she embarks married life and motherhood later this year. Can’t wait to hear more from Katy this year!

“Tryin’ My Best, Los Angeles” by Mandy Moore

Another artist who went on a long hiatus is finally back! It’s singer-songwriter/actress Mandy Moore! Call it a rebirth if you will because Mandy has returned with an ode to L.A. which has it’s ups and downs in life and in her career. It’s encouraging how Moore is returning to music, her true calling in my opinion after a bitter end to her previous relationship with her first husband.

Check out her new album, Silver Landings for a collection of easy listening folk-pop songs. She truly wants us to think about our lives and be joyful at the same time.
