FIRST REACTIONS:
“Strangers By Nature” by Adele
π§ This song is so soothing and relaxing! It felt like being transported to a fairy tale story. So dreamy and lofty too!
π to represent all of her lovers both past and present. She’s appreciated all the lessons learned through her past relationships and accepted the fact she can’t change the past. It’s time to move on and look forward to the future.
“Easy On Me” by Adele
For coverage on this single, please see my previous post.
Additional facts/notes: At the time of writing, the song’s music video has accrued over 160 million views on YouTube!
She performed this song for the first time in a CBS special. In Case You Missed It, click here.

“My Little Love” by Adele
π¦ Aww, I love the fact she’s talking to her son, Angelo on this track. In between verses, you can hear snippets of their wholesome conversations.
π Talking and dealing with heartbreak is tough. Having someone you love unconditionally helps alleviate that pain. In this case, Adele finds comfort and joy with her son.
π π» That vulnerable outro with the strings — it will get you emotional too even if you’ve never experienced heartbreak!
“Cry Your Heart Out” by Adele
πππ Crying is cathartic. Let it out if you have to in regards to severe heartbreak (or whatever that’s been bothering you in life.)
π€ This makes you want to hug someone who’s inconsolable. Acknowledge their pain and current feelings and give them support.
π― Even though lyrically this song is about someone who’s experiencing depression, the vibes on this track are so upbeat. Refreshing track to hear from a production standpoint! I hear some reggae influences and some classic Motown vibes. Very impressive!
“Oh My God” by Adele
π€ This song talks about the internal struggles one may be dealing with after having a depressive episode post-breakup. You know you’ll be better off if you move on in life. But it’s certainly not easy doing so.
π₯ I love the drumbeat all throughout the track. Provides a good kick to the overall sound!
“Can I Get It” by Adele
π» This has to be her next mainstream radio hit single! Love the guitar chords on this track as well as the infectious whistling. Thanks to acclaimed producers Max Martin and Shellback for making this track!
β€οΈβπ₯ The lyrics talked about the deep desire for genuine love, not the casual hookup.
“I Drink Wine” by Adele
π· to represent your life and the unhealthy obsession with things you can’t control. You know you’re tired of it and want to turn over a new leaf by changing your mindset moving forward. It’s a hard pill to swallow but you’ll get there in due time.
π΅ ππ½ππ½ Such a soulful vocal performance! I appreciated her openness and honesty in the outro as well.
“All Night Parking” by Adele with Erroll Garner
πΉ Great nod to famed jazz pianist, Erroll Garner on this track. You can hear his original piece, “No More Shadows” right here.
π for when you finally fancy someone new after recovering from heartbreak. You’ve become smitten with this new person that you just want to go home and dream about your new relationship.
“Woman Like Me” by Adele
π₯π₯ This is a lyrical masterpiece! She gave a passionate vocal performance calling out her ex for his laziness and complacency. She sang it in such a calm demeanor which I thought was a great decision. Not all diss tracks have to be laden with swear words and outright vitriolic anger. The verses did due diligence in giving the middle finger to her ex.
“Hold On” by Adele
ππ½ “Just hold on!” A powerful song that preaches you to keep the faith. Times may be tough (π) for many, but there will always be light at the end of the tunnel. Lean on your friends and family for support and exercise self-care and patience moving forward.
π₯Ά The background choir which fun fact, consisted of her supportive friends plus the outro section gave me chills. How about you?
“To Be Loved” by Adele
πΉ Love the intro part with the descending piano notes being played.
π₯Ίππ Aww, this track is for those vulnerable listeners who always seem to live in their proverbial turtle shell. An emotional song about taking the leaps and risks to get what you want. You’re still afraid of getting out of your comfort zone despite all of this. But you know you have to at least make an honest attempt (at finding true love for the first time or after heartbreak OR landing a new job/career path, etc.) It’s better to have tried and failed than not try at all.
#ICYMI: She teased this track two days earlier by posting this stripped-down version from her living room:
“Love Is A Game” by Adele
ππ An epic closing track that pretty much sums up the amazing production values that this whole album encompasses.
ποΈ I got cinematic vibes from the track. A perfect track that mirrors the feeling of watching the end credits scene. I predict and assume this will be her closing song to sing for her future tour setlists.
