His latest single, “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” is from the highly anticipated Avatar: The Way Of Water soundtrack. Here below are my first reactions to said track.

0:05 🎬🥁 – Cinematic way to start off the song! Love the dramatic percussion section! The instrumentals will definitely get you hyped to overcome whatever obstacles you’re facing in life!!
0:45 🗣️ – The Weeknd’s vocals match seamlessly with the cool-sounding synths and beats! EPIC with headphones or earbuds on!
1:30 💕 – The power of love is greater than any adversity thrown your way! Love the message so far in this pre-chorus.
1:55 💪 – The current strength you have is boosted by the emotional support of your significant other. Definitely a confidence booster by this point of the track! Play this part on repeat if you need that 1up to your morale!
2:12 🎻 – The strings come into play quite nicely! I would love to see the live orchestra playing this part on TV someday, maybe perhaps at next year’s Golden Globes or Oscars ceremonies!!
3:00 🫡 🎖️- This song also will resonate with those brave souls serving in the military. You’re away from loved ones or your significant other for a long period of time and know that there is a risk of losing your life in combat.
3:21 🥶 – As the chorus repeats again, you can’t help but feel chills from Abel’s cathartic vocals. The song comes together with all the elements and layers into one epic ending! Overall, amazing arrangement and A+ production values!
4:24 🏆 – I’m calling it now, The Weeknd will receive multiple award nominations (Golden Globes/Oscars) in 2024/2023 respectively!
