Kiernan Shipka, Ross Lynch, Jaz Sinclair and Gavin Leatherwood, stars of the hit Netflix series, “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” discussed the exciting and thrilling second half to season one recently at BUILD with moderator Matt Forte.
Expect more drama in the mortal and magical worlds in Greendale as Sabrina navigates her life as a witch at the Academy of the Unseen Arts. There will be more spells and incantations in this second part as well as more steamy scenes (see Episode 14 “Lupercalia”), a MUSICAL number and deeper character development for recurring characters like Lachlan Watson’s Susie and Leatherwood’s Nicholas Scratch.
“You get to peel back some of those layers of the onion of who Nick is and it was just so fun. As an actor, to be able to continue to dive into this character it was like the best gift,” Leatherwood told the audience.
The camaraderie was evident during the interview and the four stars gushed about their off-camera shenanigans.
“We’ve had several game nights like running charades level, high-stakes games,” Shipka recalled.
“We get very competitive,” Leatherwood interjected. “It’s intense,” Sinclair affirmed.
Talk about high intensity! But the cast also did other fun things like celebrating Shipka’s birthday during production and making music together.
“The second time we hung out with Gavin, we all for whatever reason ended up in my room and spontaneously created music for about five hours and just sat there jamming,” Lynch said.
