Happy Friday!! Today’s post is dedicated solely to Dutch DJ, Fedde Le Grand’s new collaborative song with hit rock group, American Authors called “One Way Up.” Here below are my first reactions to the track.
“One Way Up” by Fedde Le Grand & American Authors
This is the first time I’ve heard a house song from Dutch artist Fedde Le Grand and now I’m hooked! I will definitely be listening to his other works and expanding my listening library moving forward.
Infectious beats all throughout the song! Enlisting the raspy vocals of Zac Barnett from American Authors made for an enjoyable and feel-good track! I feel if you loved AA’s smash hit song, “Best Day Of My Life,” you will love this banger of a song too!
Melodically, the song starts off on a darker tone but eventually pivots to an uplifting anthem most notably once Barnett sings, “One way up, yeah, yeah.” I love the horn-like sounds, the transitions between verses and how the beats make me feel like I’m at a concert jumping up and down. What about you?
Lyrically speaking, even if you failed at something in life, or feel mentally drained by the current pandemic, or your career choice(s), or current job, or what have you, you have to remind yourself to not lose hope. Better days will come! You just have to continue on and dust off whatever that’s bothering you.
Having a strong friendship circle/or family circle will also help alleviate some of the pains of despair that you’re currently feeling right now.
Hopefully, this single will inspire you to keep the faith up and give you a nice confidence boost. #YouCanDoIt #KeepOnKeepingOn 💪
