While we adjust to new norms of social distancing all around the world, music will continue on no matter what. Here are this week’s playlist recommendations! We got fresh new tunes from The Weeknd, Adam Lambert, All Time Low plus more!

“In Your Eyes” by The Weeknd
The Weeknd has a cool 80s vibe going on in this track off his new album, After Hours. I enjoy this song’s arrangement with all the synths and sax. This song was co-produced by The Weeknd along with veteran producer Max Martin who’s worked with numerous artists like Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande, and with Swedish producer Oscar Holter who’s worked with the likes of P!nk, Katy Perry & Troye Sivan just to name a few.
If you enjoyed “Blinding Lights,” definitely check out this track which delves into this continuing narrative between him and his former lover. He really senses the pain in her eyes as evident by the chorus of the song.
You can listen to the song right here.
“Velvet” by Adam Lambert
“Velvet,” is a groovy soft pop track that’s tailored for those who find a significant other with that instant connection/bond. This is the leading track off Adam Lambert’s latest album also titled Velvet.
Perfect for those who found love at first sight or those who just want to enjoy an upbeat track regardless of relationship status. This new era will make the Glamberts happy during this surreal time.
Both the track and new album are available now to buy and stream! Rescheduled April tour dates are TBD as of now due to the coronavirus crisis, but for later tour dates, click here to get your tickets. Cross your fingers they won’t get impacted.
“Getaway Green” by All Time Low
This week’s third pick is this fun new jam from the guys of veteran rock group, All Time Low. This is the third confirmed track off their new album, Wake Up, Sunshine releasing April 3rd. They first performed this song at last year’s Slam Dunk! festival. Lead singer, Alex Gaskarth told in a Rock Sound interview that this song made him feel “super summer-y,” and that it’s a song that you would love to listen to with the windows down as you drive down the road on a sunny warm day. Hopefully when the coronavirus is a thing of the past, people can do just that!
But for now, it’s a welcome distraction for us all. If you need to tune away from the nonstop news of the pandemic, this would be a great addition to your playlist(s).

“Scars” by Lukas Graham
Grammy-nominated band, Lukas Graham just released a song that anyone can resonate with because we all experience “scars” in life. Whether it be a breakup, a rejection from a job, an actual physical injury, or a mental disorder, what have you, we can all use the time and space to share our feelings and hope for a better future.
This is the perfect song for those who experience tough times like the one we’re living in right now too. We can all use some healing and figuratively and realistically, scars are indeed a reminder that brighter days are ahead.
Fun Fact: The lyric video was filmed by Lukas’ wife, Rillo as they are practicing good social distancing in Denmark during this pandemic.
From the above video’s description, “It is written about the hardest moments in life that we all go through as humans. The physical and emotional challenges that make us who we are. Again, don’t forget that we’re all in this together.”
You can download and stream the song now.
“Wrong About You” by DVBBS
Put this new house track on loop because DVBBS, the Canadian duo of Christopher and Alexandre van den Hoef are back in 2020 with a quarantine anthem you need to blast for your indoor party! Turn up and have fun! Self care is important for times like these.
You can expect this mostly instrumental track to be played at many parties & outdoor festivals once the pandemic ends and is long gone!
